  • Anuhea's therapeutic style focuses on the present and integrates several forms of psychotherapy that adapts to the unique needs of each specific client depending on their problems, treatment goals, cultural values, expectations, and motivation.

  • Anuhea uses a positive approach that applauds her clients’ strengths and aspirations, while simultaneously acknowledging human limitations and the many oppressive systems Kānaka ʻŌiwi are forced to navigate since colonization began. 


  • Anuhea's understanding of Hawaiʻi's history, attunement to each client's ethnic background and cultural beliefs, allows her to tailor treatment to the individual in a way that makes them feel understood, validated, and empowered to make significant improvements. 


  • Anuhea teaches mindfulness techniques and compassion-based skills that allow her clients to expand their self-awareness and self-esteem.  She believes all humans already have the intuition needed to cope with life’s challenges in order to cultivate happiness and resilience.
